Default Rear o2 sensor question

I'm almost done installing my new LG SuperPro headers, but the right downstream o2 sensor welded itself to the factory manifold and the threads are trashed. No one in my area has any in o2 sensors stock and it will be several days until I can get ahold of one. Since the rear o2s just monitor catalytic efficiency, would there be any harm in driving the car with the rear o2 sensors disabled, other than the codes it will throw? I would like some reassurance that I will not create a lean condition or other issues by doing this. Also, longer term, is there any advantage to leaving the rear o2s in place versus having them tuned out? Thanks.

I just had the pros instaled and had all the extensions to keep the rear o2s. Theproblem was that the wires rested on the cats and liquified.(saw NO odvious place to tie them). When they finished turning to beverage the engine light turned on. I drove to the dealer with the car downshifting(an auto) kinda rough.

o2 sensors/simulators/longer extensions were too hard to find and will also require you to wait with no guarantee that they will work for you.

I went to a tuner and for 50 bucks I had the rear o2s deleted and never looked back. No waiting and no hasle.

You will need to plug the hole where the rear o2 would have gone.

Like you said, all the rear 02 sensor does is monitor the catalytic converter, nothing else. The front 02s do all of your fueling. You'll be fine without them.

Thanks for the help. Just finished a test drive and it drives fine and sounds ungodly.
