I know ls3 heads on a ls2 makes a lot more hp. But what if i had my stock ls2 heads fully ported with the stock cam would it make the same hp? I know your gonna say cam it but i was just thinking how would it turnout.

Personally I'd do the LS3 heads. Most of the extra power in the LS3 is attributed to the heads.

the Ls3 flow more, the only drawback is you have to flycut the pistons and cut the chambers down to attain the proper CR, but they are baaaadddazz

If you're going to do it, might as well do it right.

Sending my LS2 stockers off to TEA is the next performance notch on my belt. Car is full bolt-on and cammed with a supporting valvetrain. I'll be sure to post results, and whoever cares to is free to contrast them against aftermarket heads.

My premise is "stock-appearing". Having a high flow head, high comp stroker that looks stock as a rock when the hood comes up appeals to me immensely. Of course the cam is a giveaway when idling, but I can just grin and say it's 'cam only'.
