My only regret is not having supercharged earlier. I'm at 15000 supercharged miles with zero issues making almost 600 horsepower at the wheels. It is *spectacular*. The last friend who rode on my car told me he didn't ever think it was possible for a street car to accelerate that fast.
Of course, I hope you do realize you aren't the first person on this forum with this question. A quick search on the Forced Induction/Nitrous forum will yield 10+ years worth of experience answering your exact question...
Anybody running a Procharger on an LS3 with an A6 auto trans. I'm thinking about putting the procharger from my old motor on my wifes 08. If you've done it...how does it shift and handle?
My 08 A6 transmission is holding up fine with no mods except for re-tuning. You can stick with with stock gears (I have them for now, but will go to 3.15 or 3.42 just for more low end kick). It would be a good idea to at least add headers, but it is not required. With the increased power out put it's better to increase your exhaust capacity.
The "must have" after supercharging is new tires... it is really tricky trying to handle supercharged power on stock run-flats.

Its magic!
Higher RPMs while cruising + parasitic drag on the crank = 7MPG better fuel economy
all I can figure is it was in the tune, it must have been running real rich stock, I understand what you are saying but thats what happened in my case. this was with the base tune from esc. with stock motor. I haven,t gotten it fine tuned yet, I just put a forged bottom end in so once I get it back together I will get it tuned and see what kind of mileage I get now. i am at 5000 ft. and ecs adjusted the tune for the elevation they may have gotten it alittle on the lean side, at the lower rpm.s. i was running 14.5, to 14.7,s cruising at 2000 rpm, but once I got into the boost it would drop into the low 11,s. I was as suprised as any one with the increase in mileage.
I am soooo gonna go the s/c way, but I am waiting to see how the Techco S/C does first.
Really would have loved to go w/ KB but they are too busy making money on stangs, and R & D on the ZR1 for some reason.

You're using the DIC mpg counter arent you? You will get very different numbers using a calculator and your odometer. Try that next time and let us know the real #'s. I think the MAS cant compensate for the additional airflow and messes up the mileage calculations. My car also says 3 mpg average increase after the Vortech install. And I figured it out the old fashiond way and it was off quite a bit but was very close to actual before the install.
