If you're talking 500 HP at the flywheel...CAI, headers w/high flow cats, cam, 10% underdrive pulley, ported throttle body, and tune is one way you can do it.

which will cost practically as much as getting a supercharger kit.

But he didn't want one. Besides, some people (like me) want a naturally aspirated car. I love the sound of a big cam!

The right choice of cam and a good set of heads. You're going to need just about every bolt on imaginable also, such as an electric water pump and underdrive pulley. ha ha Good luck

I did it without replacing the heads as indictated in my post above. There were a few supporting mods like dual springs, titanium retainers, 160 thermostat, etc., but I have stock heads and intake.

It truly depends on if you mean flywheel or Rear wheel. You can easily obtain 500 flywheel with heads and a cam. Im pushing about 535 flywheel with that setup. What it puts down to the wheels due to drive train lose is about 80 less. Which is still great numbers considering the mildness of the cam.

OP refered to his car at 400 wanting to get to 500. Obviously he talking crank hp. So all he needs to do is add 100 hp. Agree 500 rwhp takes every trick to get there n/a. To the OP, headers are worth 25, ported intake 10,(Fast 15, 25 with h/c), cam 45, cai 10 and a tune 5-10. All of these together will get you 100 hp. Heads will get 25 or so and the ported Fast with h/c 25.(15 more than a ported stock intake. You will like the difference.

Here, is the same year vehicle you have. Hopefully this helps with what you might be looking for.

I'm doing the same thing. I should have mine done when I return.

Good luck
