supercharging

Feel free to give me a call Darek-VetteZ51 as I have done a few SC packages for sure and I am sure I can get you going in the direction you are looking for.
What town in NJ are you originally from? I am originally from Montville up north just 30 miles or so west of NYC.
Mike Norris
you tuned this 507rwhp Procharged C5 for me last fall

You just tuned my neighbors's (TallyHo) A&A S/C vert last week...

And I work with the guy with his hands on his hips (AWARE02) in the photo who owns the yellow Z06. I know he's invested a couple of dollars in your expertise...

This is just the 3 examples of Mike's work that I'm aware of and in each case the owners have been supremely happy with the results.
To the OP...Mike's place is a small no frills shop but is big on expertise...make the phonecall!

Shame we never got to meet up so I could give you a ride in my car! Glad to see you're still thinking of supercharging yours though; its a blast!
Man, $11K for a supercharger install is just absurd! You could trailer your car to Vette Doctors and back and still save thousands of dollars; their going rate on an A&A Supercharger install is still $6599 installed, with a 2-Year, 24000 mile warranty. Why would you want to spend any more money than that? In the end, when you sell that car, you'll lose all the money you put into it, and then some thanks to depreciation: An LS2 C6 right now goes for 28 - 32 thousand dollars (modded or not!)... Dumping tens of thousands of dollars into a car that will sell for that is not a very good deal....
Clutch wise; I drove my stock clutch with a supercharger for over 10,000 miles, and by then the clutch had 48000 miles overall (I started modding at around 14K miles). It never slipped. When I took it out it was still in good condition. Replacing your clutch is an unecessary expense that is only justified if you plan on getting some sticky tires and drag racing; on any street tire you can fit under your fenders the tires will simply break lose and spin before the clutch is put under too much stress.
As always, feel free to give me a call if you want some unbiased advice; you know I don't stand to gain or lose any money from this so you'll always hear it from how how it is
It's definately worth it to fine a tuner that knows his way around boost and the various kits in the market. I know Mike @ Norris has certianly done more than a few!
I know we just added another dealer this week down in FL, and I believe we have a few of them within a couple of hours of you in St Augustine. Shoot me an email at mike@eastcoastsupercharging, and I'll fire you back a few guys local to you that can help you out with a kit that wont take a bunch of additional work for your Z51 car.
