Thinking about super charging my stock paddle shift 08 ls3. No mods done. Any comments or things to look for? Drive this car almost daily and was wondering about warranty, gas mileage, etc. not that they will stop me from super charging.
I would look into an ECS kit with the 2200 head unit and a restrictor plate. It makes huge low end boost/TQ and will be very reliable.
Especially because you are local to them. I went the supercharger route and extremely pleased. Stock like driveability and awesome power when you need it.

Also check out the A&A Vortech kit. His ram air intercooler is the best out there. Start reading the Forced Induction Section, theres reams of good learnin there.

Do you have anything credible to back that claim up by chance? Others on this forum (on the west coast actually) have done back to back testing of swapping out from our intercooler to the other, the results NO CHANGE. The change they would have found in my opinion is when you get to the higher power levels, our design would out flow the other.
I have done a ton of track IAT logging and found our design to work the best, we make our intercoolers in house so to change a design or placement is no big deal to us, if there was a gain to be had we would have made the kit that way.
It's just many small reasons like this why the ECS cars have always been just a little ahead of the others, and we plan to keep it that way.

My IAT's stay cool. I have a data reader. Surprizing how close they stay to ambiant temperature. I was just in 99 degree heat.
I was playing around then got caught in traffic backed up for miles ahead and I saw 228
on the coolant. But then it came back down. The forward mounting
of the A&A intercooler. Uses the grill for air. For the intercooler and rams it thorough. With a wide space or gap to the radiator. Then the radiator cools from the air dam like stock.

The thing is great for a daily driver even here in high 90 degree weather.
The low and mid range TQ sells itself for the ECS kits.
Good to hear Spin!
With the mid range TQ of a roots blower, and the top end of a centrifugal with growth potential of huge HP without any crazy added expense, the ECS Paxton kit seems like a no brainer to me!
