Every .10 on your 60' buys you 2-3 .10's at the line, so if you take a 2.1 60' and turn it into a 1.6, your talking about at least a 1.0 difference.

I think that tha OP did pretty well for his first time out, but I'd strongly encourage the OP to keep after it, and look for the better weather too. Your car has better than that in it for sure. I'm at 4500' in Salt Lake City (unfortunately) and the DA is generally 7-8000'. I got my car into the 12's @~110 on EMT's (muff's only), 5 times in a row, one night w/a DA of ~7200'.
