Default WB O2 Sensor in Kooks Headers

I am getting ready to buy a set of Kooks headers and x-pipe and wanted to order them already JetHot coated. Then I remembered that I want to install a wideband O2 sensor and the bung won't already be there. I'm getting a catted x-pipe and want the sensor ahead of the cats. I'm assuming that I need to get the headers and weld in the bung before having them coated. Does that sound right or am I missing something?

The major vette header mfg I deal with will weld a WB bung in for free before he ships them out if you ask.

Just tell your vendor that you want this done before they are coated. Maryland Speed told me not long ago that they charge $50.00 for this and obviously it will slow down the delivery.

All the Kooks X-pipes now come with an extra O2 bung (w/ screw cap) welded in right behind where they mate to the drivers side collector. This works good because space on the collector is limited. They also now have staggered connections on the X-pipe so you can place the clamps in a manner that allows the best access and clearance. All Corvette X-pipes have been made this way for like 9 months.

That is true, it has a WB port and ports for your existing narrow band sensors but don't trust the narrow bands after install. Don't get me wrong though I love my kooks upgrade and great hrosepower, just have to abandon any tuning done with narrow bands.
