Electrical problems with my 05. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Hey guys, Im having some serious electrical issues wiht my 2005 z51. The radio freezes up and doesn't work, the Service active handling, abs, column lock , ect will show up the guage display, and the doors won't open. ALL THIS HAPPENS AT THE SAME TIME and sometimes the car will stop running and not start back up. It's almost like the car doesn't recognize the key fob sometimes. I replaced the battery in the car with a new one and that didn't fix it. I replaced the key fob battery and that's not it neither. I hooked it up to my buddies professsional scanner and it is saying something about the computer loosing communication with certain modules.......
Anyone have any fixes or any ideas what could have caused this problem? I thought maybe it could be a bad ground somewhere but I don't know.. Or should I JUST DROP IT OFF TO THE DEALERSHIP????

What ended up being your issue ? This same thing just started happening to my 08 Vette.

Check the big Blue connector under the passenger footwell. Sometimes a passenger will push hard on the floor board, and this can move the connectors and they lose some signals. GM should of used spacers top prevent this from happening.
A bad or weak car battery will give all kinds of weird and wonderful alarms and issues. as well.

mine went out about a year or so ago.....been using the trunk hatch to enter, and the lever to exit.....
first my pass side went, then about a month later the driver side. I really don't take passengers too much, with the exception of my 5 ft 100lb wife. Checked connecter at BCM, and have new battery, that has been load tested. It is weird, because i press the touch pads (which are all brand new) and i hear the BCM clicking, but motors will not open. I swapped the motor and latch assembly, but that didn't work either.
would love to hear any other trouble shooting

fyi, I just inspected the BCM, and there is quite a bit of corrosion on the bottom 4 pins in the connector to the right (closest to the pass door) I don't have a tech2, but would be those few pins have something to do with the latches
