Not for the faint of heart. Did the passanger seat tonight 3 hours. Forget the hog rings, took my time and it turned out pretty sweet. Only used a couple of staples and 3 cable ties to connect the bottom. Looks prett much OEM. Will try to post pictures.
I was impressed with the turnout. I was like WTF am i doing. It took a while but i reworked it at least 3 times. That hammer you see was to drive the new christmas tree plugs. And both those staple guns are a POS. 30 bucks and going right back to lowes when i'm done.
I got the recliner hangle off pretty easy with needle nose pliers. Everybody bitches about that part of install. And GM has pretty cheezy foam for a 70K car.
Drivers side tomorrow. Shouldn't be to bad.

It takes a while to figure out how to take them apart, but once you do, the next time will take half as long.
I also used tie wraps instead of the hog rings and it seems to work just fine. I used big, thick black ones which seem more than strong enough.
I reworked my driver's seat and agree with the foam being junk. Did you notice that there is no support between the center wires and the bottom seat frame? This is below the bolsters which makes them totally worthless.
When you do the driver's seat, I recommend you glue a thin layer of foam over the steel frame under the bolsters to help prevent the factory foam from tearing as it rubs against the frame. The steel frame edges are fairly sharp and cut into the factory foam over time especially on the outside where you side down to get in and out the of the seat.
I added 3 layers of ballistic nylon fabric between the springs and the foam to firm up the bottom cushion. Ballistic nylon is the stuff they make duffel bags from. This eliminated the hip pain I was getting after only 20 minutes of driving.
Thats a good idea. Might try that. And i was really surprised at the crappy foam, again this is a fantastic car and i love it, but come on.They could of done a much better job. Anyway love the 2-tone color.
Thanks guys

Most definitely glue something on the frame to prevent it from cutting into the bolster seat foam. I thought about gluing some polyester or cotton batting on the frame. Let me know what you come up with.
I thought about slicing an inch off the bottom foam and replacing it with denser foam. But tried the nylon cloth first. This works but I would like to experiment with some denser foam. The top of the foam has the seat heater and Velcro fastener for the leather skin, so I did not want to mess with the top layer.
In the picture below, I put a strip of duct tape over the frame to hopefully keep it from cutting into the foam. The edge is really sharp.
In this picture, the red arrows highlight the fact there is no support under the side bolsters. I don't have a quick and cheap fix for this yet.
Drivers side done, all in all wasn't bad. Another 3 hours, hardest time was getting the trim piece back on the side where the controls are. Used no hog rings at all. I'm sure a upholsterer could of done a little better job, but i saved myself 250. Worst case scenario, i can have the seats out in about 10 minutes each.
You can tell the drivers seat is a little worn. Next time i do the new foam cushion also. I couldn't strech it anymore then i did.
