I have Iphone 3G that allows me to make calls outbound, but will not allow me to answer inbound calls from the steering wheel controls. I used to be able to answer on the phone, and then it would link to the car, but after the most recent software upgrade on the Iphone it wont even do that now.
I called GM months ago and they said it's Apple's fault. Apple says it's GM's fault. Has anyone had or resolved this problem?
Thanks!
I found on my 3G (w/ 3.01 s/w) that it is an issue with how long you hold the answer button down on the wheel. Too short - it just mutes the sound system audio. Hold it a little longer - and it works. But it is a little too touchy, I would agree. Good luck.
Apple recently sent a software update out for the Iphone and guess what? It fixed the problem. You DO have to hold the answer button down at least a second, (as someone else recomended), but its all a go for now.

I answer on the phone (just pressing the answer button), but it goes through the blue tooth.
I have tried pushing the steering wheel controls, but NOT holding the button. I will try that.
