C6 No Electrical Power
Disconnected and reconnected battery for minor maintenance. Once reconnected the fobs didn't work and had NO power. The car is DEAD. Jimmied with driver window to get into car with emergency door release bc I was never given a manual key for the trunk. Checked fuses and all are good. Any suggestions????????

Start with a DVM across the battery and make sure you have at least 12.5 vdc static across it. Are you sure you have the battery cables properly tightened? Next place to look is at the starter solenoid as that is the electrical center for the car. Remember that it should be electrically hot there. Before getting under there, use the DVM on the charger post attachment at the engine compartment fuse box and see if you have power there.

checked the battery out. It only had 4 cranking amps. Bought a new batt and she fired right up. Thanks for the help and thank god it was nothing too serious. These cars are so tempermental.

4??? wow, that battery certainly hit the skids. Glad you got it fixed. Suggest you keep a close eye on the battery voltage for the next short while just in case.
