The new european paddle shifters smoothly change gears in 100 milliseconds. The computer no longer overrides manual shifts as well.
What about the C6 paddle shifter system? Has the speed of shifting increased and what is that speed?
What about the seamless shifting of the gears? smooth?
Does the computer override your manual paddle shift when you do something it does not like??
You can't really compare a dual clutch paddle shifting transmission with what we have in the vettes. Think of ours as a regular automatic transmission (fluid torque converter based) with the ability to change and hold gears manually. Our shift times are slow compared to a dual clutch and will not be as smooth. The computer in your will protect your drivetrain to a point, i.e. it won't let you shift into 6 gear below 40 mph, etc.
