Yeah, sorry, I never re-opened the original post but that last entry in it was something like that seemed to resolve it and would keep watching. I still am, but so far zero problems with the charge system fault after going back to Ac Delco plugs from the NGK's that I had tried and we discovered through you that it was a possible cause...it was indeed.

getting this warning too, my volts wont go above 11v no matter how low/high the RPMs, changed the battery AND the alternator, nothing!!

Im sure its not the plugs thats dropping my voltage, any other ideas?

I had enough of this and with an HP tuner, went into the trouble codes and simply turned the code off. End of problem. (The dealer said my battery and alternator were fine, no charging issues. Apparently a computer glitch.)

Glad your issue was the alternator even though it had to be at a bad moment out on the road. We're just adding that some of us, for others to read, have had other issues that also caused the charge system fault, even if they sounded way out in left field. More knowledge for all of us to consider is better than none.
