Parking Brake Adjustment?
Does anyone know how to adjust the parking brake on a C6?
The dealer wanted $180 to do this. Is it that hard to do?
I understand the parking brake is similiar to a drum type setup.
Appreciate any tech comments or.

My service manuals are packed with my HHGs in storage, but to the best of my recollection there is as star adjuster inside the rear calipers. This assumes that there is no slack in the cable.

Do a search in the C-5 section. Same brake set-up, lots of info (good and bad). It is a PITA to adjust the star wheels but it can be done. Usually involves a lot of swearing.

The parking brake cables are tensioned automatically by cycling the parking brake level three times. If you need to adjust the shoe to drum clearances a special measuring tool is used by the dealership. I believe there's an adjusting nut on the P-brake actuator. The procedure does involve pulling the rotors, etc. so I'm not surprised they charge $180 for the labor involved.
