08 A6 programming question
Can an 08 A6 tranny be reprogrammed as an 09 A6? If so, how do you do it?
The 09 trannys have a new feature that I like-- press and hold either "+" paddle and the A6 returns from paddle shift mode back to Sport mode.

Correction-- I've learned this is an enhancement on the 2010 A6, not the 09's. Would still like to have the convenience of using the "+" paddle.

Is there any other know enhancments to the shift timing, etc... If so I might would look for a 2010 stock A6 program and try it.

I have an A6 06 and my conversations with two dealers is that you cannot get updates from other years, they say they have to put VIN in which immediately pigeon holes you to your year. If someone else can come up with something better that actually works at the dealer, I would love to hear it.

Void warranty?
They unfortunately read it off the windshield area, haven't found a tech and manager to do - I haven't tried that yet. Of course, this could be touchy if went to another dealer and they put my correct VIN and they show it as modified and THEN warranty voided?
