My LS2 dynoed at 345 with an air filter change. Adding a polished TB, ported intake, ZO6 3" exhaust and a tune netted me 372 RWHP. So, it looks like your in the ball park.
Good call! Our mods are similar except Spinmonster ported my TB and stock Intake and my result was 395 /387.
Great numbers, I hope I'm in that range with the intake and some more tuning. I think between the intake, TB and getting the A/F where it needs to be I'll be close. Can't wait to get it on, get back to the dyno, and then finally hit the drags.
typical gains are in the 40rwhp/40rwtq range for the mods you listed. Stock LS2's dyno around 340ishrwhp
I'm new at the GM game. I came from Vipers (long story). I like my C6 Vette so please don't get offended as all I want is education, but is it normal for GM to advertise 400hp when the car dynos at 340? The 2 Vipers I had were within 10rwhp of what was advertised. Someone please educate me. You mean my C6 is really a 340rwhp car. Crap, I went down 50hp from my Gen 1 Viper and around 100 from my Gen 2 (not to mention the enormous torque loss). Curious...
I think one is "Rear Wheel HP... and the other is HP at the flywheel.. I could be wrong... I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge will jump in...

I haven't read Chrysler's marketing material (new car brochures or wherever you're getting your numbers) but I have never seen a car company publicize rwhp on a new car. There are too many variables. I would suggest that even the Viper is advertised as to the measured flywheel horsepower. If you are seeing only a 10 hp drop between what is advertised (flywheel HP I'm willing to bet) and rwhp on a dyno, you've got some very special vehicle(s).
BTW, I'm not offended by your question / statement but I do believe there is some misinformation in there somewhere. I'm going to be very interested in looking into your assertions and see for myself.

Thanks for not being offended because there are people of both sides of the Viper vs. Vette that would be. I am not one of them either. I like and appreciate both cars for what they are.
Yes, Dodge does (to my knowledge) advertise flywheel hp. But apparently the cars I had did not lose as much at the rear wheels. That's all I can think. No big deal as I really like the C6 car, but I was just surprised at the loss of 60 hp from the flywheel to the rear. Maybe there is something about the V-10 in the Viper doesn't lose as much? I'm still a VCA member (Viper Club of America)... I should post this question on their board and get back to you. Gotta get kids to bed now. My wife is in Singapore on business and I am Mr. Mom.
According to one person on the VCA board, there is a 12-15% drop from flywheel to rear on most Vipers depending on year. 12% of 400 would have taken it down 48, so it looks like they are comparable. However, my Gen 1 tested higher in the low 380's (400 advertised and no mods), and my Gen 2 tested in the mid 430's (450 was advertised) with high flow cats and a Corsa catback as mods. So, maybe my cars were just freaks... Or the dynos were a bit high? Who knows and probably who cares anyway?
I know that my new C6 would be very even in a race with my 'ole Gen 1, while the Gen 2 would cream the C6. The Gen 2 was just scary... Lots of torque. Unfortunately, my wife won't let me mod the C6 to make it as fast as the Gen 2. But, she is going to let me buy another Gen 2 once the Vette is paid for in a couple years. That will be fun... Then we can cruise and go to shows as a family (I have 2 kids). One can ride in the C6 convertible and one in the RT/10 Viper convertible. Best of both worlds in my opinion. Can't wait!

Did I really say Chrysler? Too funny. Anyway, I have close friends with DODGE Vipers, including one with a brand new one. I'm certain he hasn't had it on a dyno but maybe I can talk him into it!! I do think he had his first one dynoed so that may be interesting. I think it's pretty typical that most cars loose between 15 - 20% through the drivetrain. Again, I have no idea if front wheel drive cars do too, maybe that's the reason on the Vipers I couldn't resist, sorry! Okay, we'll wait to see what comes up.

Now you have my type of sense of humor. Front drive... I can just see that massive V-10 in sideways. Nice chat. Thanks.
