HOW do you remove the rear defuser, the black plastic piece that holds the back up lights. does the whole rear facia have to come off too? I have shop manuals but it's not that detailed, is there a link to some where that shows it better? THANK YOU!
First you need to remove the rear tires. You then need to get inside the rear fenderwell (remove pushpins/screws so you can pull back liner) liners and remove 4 screws on each side that hold the lower part of the fascia to the bottom of the fender. When you are in there, twist and remove the rear backup light bulbs. Next remove 2 bolts that are in the center of the car right above the muffler tips. You will need a long extension to get at them and maybe a universal joint. I used a 1/4" drive set as the smaller diameter of the extension gives you a bit more room. These 2 bolts go through brackets and into the rear frame. On the top side of the brackets is a small white plastic washer to keep the bracket off the frame. These will fall out when you remove the rear fascia. When re-installing, put them in place on the brackets and hold them in place with a little tape or adhesive.
For the final step - along the top edge of the fascia there are tabs that snap into slots in the rear bumper. You need to pull pretty hard to get these tabs out. A few of them can be released from the sides reaching behind the fenderwell liner, but the ones in the center can not be reached, you just need to pull. Try to pull straight so you do not break any of the tabs.
It sounds harder than it really is. Trick is just getting to all the fasteners.
This first picture shows some of the slots along the lower edge of the bumper cover. Copy this pic off onto your hardrive and zoom in for a better look.

I did not care for the large back up lights in the rear defuser. I removed them and made some fiberglass ducts to connect to the inner fenders inboard of the rear wheels. In theory, this will pull more air from under the car and create more down-force with out increasing drag. And no more ugly back up lights that look like they belong on the front of a Fiat.
I have added a small back up light tucked back between the exhaust tips since these photos were taken. I used one of the rear license plate lights from a 2008 Chev Silverado PU. I mounted it horizontally. It is hardly noticeable, matched the material that the rear defuser is made from and looks factory.
