Default Need Help On How To Set Up Ventilated PCV System..

i have read all the posts regarding keeping oil out of the TB and out of the Intake. i must say the more i read the more confused i became. so many choices and so many opinions on how best to address this issue.

i have decided the only way to keep ALL the oil out of the TB and Intake Manifold (without having to empty catch cans) is to cut off the return lines to them.

i am not worried about visual emissions checks or odor. i want to run a breather on the valve cover and run what i would call a run off tube off the Intake Manifold that i will just run to the bottom of the engine bay and let the oil run out. i will add a filter at the bottom of that line to keep debris from working its way back in. i guess this would be the so called old school method.

having said all this, the problem is i am not sure what lines do what. meaning i do not know how to accomplish my goal. can some one clearly point which lines to cap and which to allow the run off. if at all possible photos would be great!!

tks in advance, dal

Hey Dal,

I run a Breather on the oil cap ( i got that off a GTO) and on the right valve cover at the rear (got that breather from advance auto). I plugged of the PVC lines going from the valve cover to the intake and valley cover to the intake manifold. I did have a catch can but it still sucked some oil in the intake.
