Curious about whether or not the MGW shifter includes metal grommets that replace the rubber ones of the stock shifter that holds the shifter plate to the frame. (Like the B&M unit does.)

No car comes with the top of the line parts compared to aftermarket parts. The simplest changes improve the car's power and performance for all cars. Why is borla or corsa in business if the stock exhaust is so good. Why is comp cams in business if the car comes with the best camshaft?

From air cleaners to shifters, GM doesnt do it best.
Agreed. Cars are about compromises. A manufacturer can't use top quality parts because they would cost too much. They can't install loud exhausts, powerful cams, or short-throw shifters because that would reduce the customer base. Its all about making a product economical enough to sell, and appealing enough so people will buy it. Thus the beauty of the aftermarket. You can make the car your own, tailored to your own tastes.

George has re-engineered the thing many times since the first release. His latest, which I upgraded too from a previous version is perfect. Unlike some suppliers who keep poorly built stuff on the market, he has taken customer issues and addressed them. His customer service has been top notch.

Why did I upgrade? The latest version does not use any springs for alignment, and it is easier to get into the 5th gear gate.

Most of the complaints on rattle I read about was with people using the stock ****. It's been addressed from what I've seen, but no issue for me, I went with their round ****.
