Default 07 Corvette paddle shift gets stuck

Has anyone else had this problem? paddle shift put in 1st gear, then trying to shift into 2nd--nothing happens, 3rd,4th same thing. I have to take the car out of Sport (S) to get it to shift, If i dont it would stay in 1st gear. I am Original owner,, last time this happened it wouldnt shift into 1st, indicator said 1st but was in 2nd. I have taken it to dealership and they cant find anything. you can respond to

Not to overstate/ask the blatantly obvious or anything but...the car is moving fast enough to allow for the upshifts, right?
In other words, the car will not paddle up to the next gear until it reaches enough speed (ie: the paddles won't shift up while sitting parked).
Again, a quite obvious (dumb even LOL) question/statement on my part but just wanted to be sure.

Yes I am going fast enough for upshifting I was at about 3000rpm and going for 2nd and nothing happens when i pressed + and nothing happened when i pressed + for 3rd. The amazing thing is is doesnt happen all the time--I was just out with the car---and all went ok---made an appointment for tomorrw am with dealership.Been driving this car 3 years since new, I know all that needs to be done when using paddles---:O)

I'm thinking that somehow the transmission computer (sometimes) thinks the car is in 'D' even though the shifter is in 'S' and it's during those periods that the paddles won't work maybe?

It turns out the dealership found a fault code for the 1st gear solenoid, they will take a look and see if any particles are in it or replace it--under warrantee..Obviously this would cause it to be either locked in 1st or not downshift into 1st gear. And the car only has under 20,000 miles
