New Clutch
Currently, after some research I've found out that it's very probable that I have a bad pilot bearing . . .I have a few mods and an end game planned out for my 2005 Z51 which will hopefully take me up around 600hp. Currently I have kooks headers w/no cats, borla stinger exhaust, Cold air intake w/vette air as my mods. Nothing drastic yet but with this pilot bearing going bad they are going to have to access the clutch to replace it so I thought I'd go ahead and replace the clutch now with one built a little more for racing type of environment then the stock one I have in there now and save a little bit of $ in the long run on labor. I've read a few other posts of people looking at different clutches and I'm just not sure which would best. I'm looking at getting a twin disc clutch and have looked hard and Exedy's hyper clutch twin disc clutches and I like what I see but no one on these forums really mentions them so I dont know what to think. I've seen you all mention ACP and RPS and I've seen a few others on the net but I'm back to the beginning with not knowing which would be best. The Exedy comes with a light weight flywheel w/the kit and is rated as per their website @ 800 lbs of torque at the flywheel if that helps. Any advice would be helpful.
Thankyou
