Default Mild LS3 Cam, anyone have?

Has anyone done a mild cam change to an ls3? I'm thinking 220/220 ish cam, I know that's a nice Ls1 cam, not too sure about LS3. Just looking for 20-30hp and trying to maintain stock driveablilty. I see the stock dyno peaks about 5400rpm. That leaves alot of hp on the top that can be used. Peak should be 6000 I think.

From my research the best sleeper cam I have found so far is the Thunder Racing Cheatr V3 219/230 .607 .604 117LSA, will have tremendous tq off idle and great power under 6k.

A 224/224 114 in an Ls3 will give you the street manners you remember from a 220/220 114 in an LS1. A 224/230 115 will also be easy driving and provide a nice top end.

Our Stinger Cam in an LS3 is very mild and makes excellent torque. It is a proven camshaft for drivability, good numbers, great torque, fast times at the track.

Mr. WhiteGS,

Please feel free to PM me or call me at the number found in the site below. We have a plethora of cams that will fit your needs.

All of our cams are built from a billet steel one piece unit and each cam comes with it's own cam doctor sheet for accuracy and great results. We can talk about your needs and point you in the right direction. Remember, no ONE cam fits all.

If you want to sneak up on a Z06, then hit me up and let's put on the path to happiness.

Thanks,
Carlos

Agree...224/230 115 would also be boost friendly should you decide that a little more isn't quite enough

224 224 114 or 218 224 114 both on +0. My car made 438(mustang dyno) through M6 with LS3 heads on LS2 with a 218-224-112+0 it really hung on up top. all xfi lobes.

Try the MegaDeath Basturd v.9. Duration around 280 and lift over .800 but it's drives just like stock, except for violent surging below 5000 rpm.

Be careful asking for people's opinion on what is "mild".

One man's mild is another man's wild! Having said that...I stand by the fact that my G6XE would be considered mild by 99% of the guys out there.

I have spin's 230/234 cam in my C5 Z06 LS3. It's very mild for me, but may not be so much for you.

I have heard very good things about the G6XE cam from LG.
