Default hi beams not working HELP

Picked up a 2006 Z06 today in Chicago and drove it home to charlotte. All works perfect except i have no hi beams. When i activate them with the stalk the fog lights turn off like they should but no hi beams come on. The little blue indicator lights up at it should too

Where do i start looking?????

Thanks as always

First, check fuses 23 & 24, under the hood fuse box.

. . . and check Micro Relay #39 (High Beam), as well.

I just went to my repair shop and those things are exactly what we checked. The fuses are fine and the relay is energizing properly when the stalk is activated in the car

What's next?? I HATE to go to the dealer but is it possible the bulbs are burned out with only 22k miles??

Please help

Robert

It's possible but highly unlikely.

If you want to swap the bulbs out to check them it's pretty simple.
Lets start with the driver side light...
1. Turn the steering wheel all the way clockwise till it stops.
2. In the wheel well, just in front of the tire and behind the headlight there is a access panel. I think it's held in place by 4 or 5 clips.
3. Remove these clips using a flathead screwdriver or whatever you find easy to use.
4. Once you remove the clips and access panel you'll see you now have access to the headlight bulbs.
5. All you have to do is remove the rubber boot behind the headlight to gain access to the bulb. Then twist the bulbs and remove it.

Same procedure for the psgr side.
Note: If you swap in a new bulb and it still doesn't work, don't bother changing the other one. You might have a bigger problem.

I find it very hard to believe to both headlight high beams have burned out. You need a schematic to trace this in my opinion. I believe there is a headlamp control module but I don't have details on it.
