I have the rear of my car out and need to know how the axles come out so I can remove the differential. The service manuals make it sound like they just pull out but that doesn't seem to be the case. I don't want to pry them and damage them:
Also does this sound like a lot of play with the car in nuetral?
I am changing the converter and want to get the diff checked out. It seems to have a lot of noise and slop in it when shifting into drive or reverse when parked.
I just went through all that with my 05 - I was able to yank mine out fairly easy - but I thought the manual said to use a prybar to help seperate them from the diff. Shouldn't hurt anything if you don't get crazy and keep it off the seals.

Thanks in advance
You have to use a pry bar but in a swift motion. When you do that they'll pop out enough for you to pull them out the rest of the way with your hands.
