I have LG's splitter on my car. Fit and finish was flawless and the price was right to.

Default CF Splitters

I bought mine from Gene Culley OEM. Katech also sells them, also.

Default Thanks Guys

Looks like I may go RPI. They indicate "road use only - not for competition use" - what the heck does that mean? Is it doing to fly off at 150, 160, 180?

Probably means that any sort of high speed will rip it off.

This is why Katech tells you to buy the front fascia reinforcement to hold it on. Ours is changed on the bottom side to hold it on at high speeds.

Let me clarify this statement. The fascia reinforcement is exactly that, a fascia reinforcement. it does not "hold on" the splitter. The two parts don't even touch. The fascia reinforcement goes behind the fascia around the perimeter of the grille to add rigidity to the grille mouth.

Yes, you are right. Given it did not have that the splitter would start to deform the nose of the car and enough pressure it would tear it off. Given a more stable platform to bolt it to, lets it stay in place.

A race splitter with tunnels needs even more support directly to the frame.

Our MTI Racing Aero Package could be what you are looking for.

It provides excellent aero balance, looks great, and it strengthens the flimsy front nose of the car. For strength, the MTI Racing Splitter is constructed with multi layers of pure carbon fiber weave all the way through the structure with epoxy resin as the bonding agent. It is really strong! Our splitter also incorporates a double-step rise in the face which increases its rigidity exponentially. Finally, it has been tested in the wind tunnel, road course, and airport runways at over 200mph. Pair that with our rear spoiler and you have a winning combination.

You can read more information and see our wind tunnel video HERE
