For those dealing with cores + core charges

I was waiting for a package one day. My Dad, was working on the car in the driveway, and a white van (with no FedEx markings, but Ryder truck rental instead)pulls up and a man gets out in a FedEx shirt. After seeing my Dad, he looks around the truck and says "I think they gave me the wrong truck, I dont see any packages in the truck that match my manifest....I'll be back later. He leaves, and minutes later I get an e-mail that the package was delivered and left at the door. I called FedEx, recite the story, they tell me it was impossible. So, having nothing else to do that day, I spend 2 hours of phone calls up the FedEx chain, winding up with a manager at headquarters in Memphis.
After going through hoops and having FedEx's management involved, it turns out that "the package that was left at the door" was never found or delivered, but the same sub-contractor had over 50 "missing" package claims in a single week. FedEx's assumption was either the driver was stealing packages or just dumping them rather than making the deliveries. The package originator received a credit check from FedEx about a month after the investigation.
BTW, I'm with everyone else here, keep up the good work.
Around 5pm the driver speeds by my house and I run out trying to flag him down but he didn't look up. Called FedEx immediately and I said that I'm concerned because I get deliveries in the am but she says if it's scheduled for delivery that day that it'll be there. She also says that it'll say delivered as soon as the driver delivers it and it hasn't been yet. All this time I'm tracking it on-line and it shows "out for delivery". Same msg until about 7 pm where I check and it says "delivered".
Called and they said they couldn't do anything and I'd have to go through a similiar channel such as Guy. I let um have it. Went driving around the neighborhood late evening and saw a box at the neighbors door. No lights so I went up to check and sure enough, it was mine. Rang the bell to tell them but no one was home. I was glad that I found it but mad because I had to do the legwork to find it. These guys are so busy and trying to get the deliveries made that they're not checking addresses. I'm #1 . . . street and he dropped it off at 23 . . . another street entirely. Luckily I went looking and found it because the neighbor ended up being out of town for a few days.
