I have an 05 and the battery goes dead very often. I can leave the car for a couple of weeks and it will start right up and then come back two days later and the car is dead. Anyone else have a similar problem. I have a neighbor that had the same problem early on and her dealer kept the car for 2 months and finally replace the module that controls all the electrical for the car. She has since sold the car and does not have the paperwork on the work performed. HELP!

No problems here with 2005 A-4 in fact I'm still on original battery at 33,000 + miles. It sits about 5 to 6 days then I start it up.
If you have the manual transmission the dead battery syndrome (DBS) is a well known 2005 problem. The dealer has a computer flash that will take care of it. It only takes a few minuets. If you have an automatic maybe you just need a new battery.
My 2005 is going in the shop tomorrow morning for the same type of issue. My Vette has the factory Bose stereo with Navigation. A few weeks ago I shut the engine down and heard a faint sound coming from the stereo. I put my ear close to the Nav screen and could hear what sounds like a small electrical cooling fan running or possibly the CD or DVD drive running (no discs loaded). I assumed it was something that I had not noticed before. A few days later I went out to start it up and the battery was stone dead. I put a new Sears Platinum battery in and it fired right up. I noticed the stereo was still putting out that same noise that can barely be heard.
There are some previous posts that indicate the same problem with a disc drive running and draining the battery.
My mechanic feels that he can either reset the unit or take it out and send it off for repair. The short term fix was simply to pull the stereo fuse to prevent draining the battery any further.
This may not be the same problem you are having, but, it is worth taking the time and listening closely to the front of your stereo.
