Z51 and Z06 rotors are NOT the same. You need Z06 rotors to use Z06 calipers.
You will also need Z06 brake lines... the stock C6 lines are not long enough to reach the new mounting points on the Z06 calipers.
Also, SimplyPHP is correct on the wheels... standard C6 front wheels will NOT clear the larger Z06 front brake calipers. You need to install the Z06 wheels, or buy aftermarket wheels with enough clearance for the big Z front calipers.
Thats it. Once the above issues are satisfied, the Z06 calipers bolt up to the standard C6 uprights without the use of caliper mount brackets.

One of the best mods I've done. I've seen one Z06 brake conversion that used stock wheels with spacers. Honestly, it just looked wrong. A set of C6/Z06 wheels, with the correct offsets are not that expensive. Several forum vendors sell these wheels. Good luck.

my bad they are z "R" 1 wheels in black and they will work i have z51 package but hate the rear cheezy calipers
Cool. However, you might still want to check with the manufacturer about the clearance. Many aftermarket reproduction Z06 wheels are NOT exact reproductions, and will NOT clear Z06 brakes. Might be the same situation with ZR1 reproduction wheels.
