Default Bummer!!

I went to swap my 3LT seats into my 1LT 07. When I hooked the driver's seat up it wouldn't function at all. I expected to have only basic function, since there are many unused slots, but I should have back and forth, up and down, at least. Put the 1LT seat in and it works fine. Any ideas as to where to begin? Anyone have a wiring diagram of the driver's seat? I did hook power up to the red/white and black to the seat connector, but nada. I am really bummed! Not only am I out the cost of the seats, but I've got a few hours (and cuts on my hands) with nothing to show for it.

Any help would really be appreciated

Jim

Lots of lookers, but no answers yet. Can anyone answer these questions for me?

The seats have memory and heaters. Is there anything in these circuits that could prevent the seats from operating?

The 3LT motors look larger than the 1LT motors. Is there a substantial difference between them?

If the seats are jammed, how could they be unjammed?

I could still use a wiring diagram, guys. I know someone on this forum has one. Scan it and pm me or post it, please. I need pin outs and connector information if I'm going to troubleshoot this animal this weekend.

Thanx

Jim

Based on your location, why don't you go LG and see if they have a wiring diagram you can look at. You can get a kit to go from 3LT to racing seat that makes many of the function not cause issues. http://www.pfadtracing.com/catalog/p...roducts_id/154

Hmmmmmmmm! I don't think that's what I need, but they may have something that will help. I'll also look up LG and see if they can help. My driver's seat is non-functional and it doesn't make sense, as the connectors seem to be matched up for the primary controls (up/down, forward/backward). That's why I'm wondering if there is something that should be connected in the memory module that could be interfering with the rest of the seat function. I can cut out what I don't need with a wiring diagram and just go with basic controls and lumbar, which is what I'm really after. Later I can see about adding in heated seats or whatever.

Thanks for the information. In going through past threads I see this is an unanswered question dating from 2007, at least.

is it possible that the BMC has to be told that you now have 3LT seats? just a thought. you might need a reflash. you might get better answers in the general section also.

Well, I checked all the connectors under the seat, applied power directly to the motors and they work fine in all directions. I replaced the switch with a known good switch. So I'm really scratching my head. Is there something in the memory module that would keep the seat from working?

I've had to jumper many of seats when I part out C6. If you have power to power and ground to ground the seat will at have the basic functions.

Make sure your pin out from the car harness matches the seat harness. Make sure the orientation is correct. Make sure the start button is in acc or start but not run mode too. Nothing in the memory module controls the basic functions.

Simply putting power to the seats will make them work.

The the 3LT seat memory module must be connected. I do not think the 1LT vehicle has the wiring harness/connector for the memory module.

I just looked in the shop manual and it doesn't show all the wires. I would send it , but it has been so long since I used my scanner, the software won't work in Windows 7.

This is why I need to get the wiring diagraqms and pinouts for the seats and the car. I think they are the same (the seats are from an 05 I think and the car is an 07). I live in Colleyville, TX (76034). Anyone close by that I can look at schematics? At this time I'm just trying to get basic functions working.
