ZR1 Engine Mount?
Can anyone confirm that the ZR1 engine mount is compatible with all other C6 models? My understanding is that it is very similar to the mount on C6 / C6Z but with a larger heat shield? I need new mounts and was thinking of going with that instead of a stock replacement.
I would like to know this, also. I am running poly engine mounts and I would like to go back to rubber mounts as the polys are really harsh and transmit lots of vibration.
Maybe someone with a ZR1 could measure diameter and height of a ZR1 mount to compare them to the C6/Z06 mounts?

Its a daily driver with a quiet exhaust, I really don't want to deal with added cabin noise on my regular 2000+ mile road trips...
BTW I think I answered my own question... According to the helpful guys at LG the ZR-1 engine mounts are not the same because the ZR1 engine sits further back in the engine compartment.

He has a supercharger.
For every "There is no added noise" testimonial I read though, there is one where the noise was so unbearable the owner had to bring the car back and pay to have them taken out

I have only heard one or two, but this is what's holding me back. I am told that the tranny mounts are a real improvment in handling/traction and that the application of TQ with the motor mounts is something too! I am afraid that if I just put in the tranny mounts, it might affect the TQ tube rate of twist

Yes, I can chime in. Aside from enhancement of power to the drivetrain, the installation of Pfadt mounts, in and of themselves, do not impose an added strain to the drivetrain in spite of a more rigid system so long as the rubber guibo used on the corvette remains in place and the engine's HP does not exceed the tolerances it was designed to withstand. Hence, the advent of the Carbon Fiber driveshaft which can be used with either a 10mm or 12mm billet coupling--both of which are more useful when used in conjunction with a higher LEVEL performance factor Diff/Tranny eg. Level 3, Level 5, etc. depending on the HP/Tq output of the engine.

I asked a BUNCH more people, then called PFADT themselves.
The general consensus was that these are not intended for daily driven street cars.
I ordered another set of factory mounts (both sides). IF they break again AND no one has come up with another design that is stiffer and more durable but not intended for racing only, I'll get the Pfadts.
I currently have the Pfadts for the engine and tranny, they cured my wheel hop but definitley at a sacrifice to comfort. I have a pretty big cam which definitley enhances the vibration, even with stock mounts, it definitley wasn't very smooth. It's definitley a noticable difference at idle and cruising but not too bad, but when you get on it it tranfers a lot more noise and vibration than I'm comfortable with. It's like going to a MGW shifter; it tranfers more drivetrain noise and vibration through the handle due to the use of polyuerathane verses rubber as an isolator. I would estimate the noise and vibration to increase by about 5 fold under hard acceleration.
