Default header install price

I am getting a set of headers, x pipe, and exhaust installed and was wondering what the average install cost of something like this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd do it myself if I were you... I had never worked on a Corvette before when I did mine and my neighbour's (he had a C5) and I was able to pull them both off in about 3 hours using just basic hand tools and jackstands.. It is an easy install.
If you must, I'd expect to pay for around 3 hours of labor on a performance shop. Maybe $300?

I asked the same question here a few weeks ago & most responses were in the $300-$400 range. However, every shop that I called in my area wanted $500-$600 for headers install.

So, I decided to do the install myself and save a few bucks.

500 bucks including a tune, which you will need anyway. You can get a mail order tune for 200 to 300, so doing the headers yourself saves you 200 bucks. I have always done my own, but honestly unless you enjoy it, drop the cash and let some else do it and get the tune as well.

I must live in the wrong area! Tunes are going for $450 in my area except for mail order tunes. Then you have to remove your PCM and mail it to the tuner. In fact, after I installed my Kooks, I had my car tuned in Virginia Beach last Wednesday and it cost me $450 for engine & A6 tune.

Chuck COW does mail order tunes for a good price. My friend ordered one. You just need to tell him what mods are on the car and he dials it in. The big plus is that he will touch it up for you for free when he is doing tunes in your area.

Here in CA a lot of tuners will install your headers for 500 or so and include a tune.
