Default Someone "who knows for sure" tell me the stock LS3 HG thickness

I have looked all over this forum and LS1 tech to find out the LS3 HG thickness and I have read that it is .051, .052, .054 and .058 I have yet to confirm what the compressed thickness is, help please!

Same subject what is the "exact" cc of the LS3 heads, 68.7? That is what I read but some say it measures out at 70cc. Thanks

not sure on the gasket thickness but if you get the casting # off the head you can find out what cc,s you have mine are 70 cc. apperantly there are different cc heads. atleast thats what I was told when I ordered my short block.

Compressed they are .051 . Heads are different comp. depends on application, camaro, vette, truck. but they do start at 70cc for the truck, then 68 for the camaro, and 65cc for the vette. what are you trying to figure out? max quench?

Are you sure it is 65cc for vette heads? I read 68-70 and in a performance magazine showed them to be 68.7, yeah I am trying to figure out the max I can mill my heads keeping the stock ls3 head gaskets.
