Default Nitto Invos again or something else?

These tires are great but ran out of tread pretty fast. I drive pretty hard and like the way they hook. Is this the best tire for my money out now or is there something better?

Dynoed at 470 wrhp and 430 tq approx and tire size is 305/30/19

I would get drag radials but am scared to break my weak 05 rearend so street tires only please.

Thanks guys!

about how many miles did you get out of them? did the fronts wear fast too? did you rotate them? as far as i know they are the only tire thats not directional for our cars. Sorry, I know I'm not contributing to your thread but I'm thinking invos are next for me, any info is greatly appreciated.

They are directional. One side says outer and the other says inner. That means you cant rotate right? You would have to dismount them right? Idk anyhow. I got like 10k maybe but I drive it like I stole it and the tires spin a lot. Front tires still look new lol.

The inner and outer is how they are supposed to be mounted, but there isn't an arrow that says they have to spin in a certain direction right? so you could swap left to right without a dismount... I think

Nitto Invos are asymmetrical, not directional. Directional tires can only rotate one way. Invos can be switched to the right or the left of the car(thus changing the rotation) without problem. The stock runflats are directional and asymmetrical, which is why they can only be used on one corner.

Hmmm guess I shouldve rotated them more then. Oh well.

I have the same 305/30/19 Nito Invo's but I make about 350-360 rwhp. I am also afraid of breaking my weak 05 rear as well. The Invo's are a great value and they are pretty much the best tire for the money imho. You can get the PS2's but they are around $1300 compared to the invo's at around $900.

Honestly it shouldn't make any difference for street use, unless you take nothing but right or left turns. Most tires that are rotated are moved from front to back and vice versa, i.e. all the same size. If you are having unusual wear on one tire then it is probably out of alignment. My tires wore at exactly the same rate on both sides.

Before I did my ZO6 wide body on my C6 I had INVOs for the first time. 305R & 255F and I really liked them. When I did my conversion I knew I needed ZO6 rubber and I looked nowhere but Nitto. Now I have 345R & 295F and I love them. I drive the car pretty hard and do take it to the drag strip and they still have plenty of thread.

IMO I think they're the best tire money can buy for our cars. Nothing comes close unless you're willing to spend almost 2x that much.

I vote INVOs

You could try the NT01's, I just ordered the 275/35/19's for the rear. Haven't tried them as of yet, but to me they look like a very high quality tire.

I don't believe grip/performance has all that much to do with the width of the tire, as it does the sidewall and the construction. I'm very curious to see what kind of acceleration I'll have from a stop compared to a car with 305's or 335's.

I know a lot of guys say, smaller than stock!? But that's all they make in there best performing tire right now. 275 vs. 285 = 4.5% Not all that much different really.

Either way it might be a good idea to look at a new diff

I had Invos on my Z06 for about a week....hated them. Did not hook very well and the front tires felt "mushy" on corner entry. Changed them out with the NT-05's and am completely satisfied. As soon as the rears are shot I plan on switching to the NT-05 DR's.

The Hankook Ventus is cheaper than the Invo and may last longer, but probably not as sticky or the Bridgestone Potenza is stickier and a little more expensive, but probably won't last as long...I also like to be able to rotate my rear tires because the left rear seems to wear slightly faster than the right

I just dont know if I could rock Hankooks on my Vette. It would be like wearing an Armani suit with some Walmart dress shoes.

Good info on the Invo's and they seem to do well. I also like the way they look and I'll probably go with them next myself.

haha, I wouldn't exactly compare a vette with armani...I had hankooks on my mustang and they did alright for street tires at the dragstrip

J/K I've never tried them, but that doesn't sound like a brand I would put on my car either. Where are they made?

I don't mind Nitto's so much, as they are made in Japan. A country that is really well known for quality instead of quantity...unlike some others over there

With 180mph+ capability I'd go for quality

Invo's in stock C6 sizes are only rated to 168mph. Although there are people on this board that have taken them faster.
