I saw a post with a picture of a engine bay that had a painted (gray) alternator and an cross flag emblem inlay with the alternator bracket machined to remove material and painted as well.
Looking for the OP so I can contact them about the details of how they did it or who did the work.
Gotcha, your engine bay looks great. Did you dismantle/disassemble the alternator for painting? If so, are special tools required for this project? Where did you find your fuel rails and fuel rail pressure gauge? I love what you have done to your engine bay!

No, I didn't disassemble the alternator at all, just some careful masking
The fuel rails are Aeromotive. I had to adapt their LS7 rails, they didn't have an LS3 set at the time...they do now though
I got all the braided line, fittings and gauge from Summit Racing
