I was driving today when my car started to beep and flashed "service active handling system" My car is an 05 Z51 with 25000 mi . Does the light come on for a normal maintenance visit or does it come on cause something is wrong with my active handling? Thanks in advance!
It could be just a glitch if it came on and went off after re set, if it stays on have it checked out, could be just the cold affecting the gas in the shocks.
Something's wrong, don't ignore it. Do a Search, there's lots of info on this.
Take it to the dealer, there is a TSB issued for this problem. The usual fix is a connector near the steering column but there can be other causes.
Worst case scenario, the AH will intervene and steer you into the ditch. Just turn AH off and get it fixed. Not covered on your warranty but usually not too expensive.

Otherwise, aftermarket electrical acccesories (stereo, switches, etc.) can cause the Active Handling to display on the DIC.

Pretty common problem, you are not alone.
I had same issue... Service Active Handling msg 3 times... took it to the Dealer and they installed the TSB remedy at zero cost. No problem since.
