Default bleeding clutch hydraulics

I know this sounds stupid, but I can't find the clutch slave cylinder so I can bleed the system. I would assume it's mounted on the transaxle but I didn't see it anywhere... Once located, is there anything unique about the procedure I should be aware of? I just bled the brakes and in the past have done this on hydraulic clutch systems in several other cars. Thanks for any help... Brian

hey brian, the slave is inside the torque tube in the front. find the hose on the driver's side below the brake booster and follow it down. the bleed screw is just above where the line goes in. it is a bear to bleed with the exhaust pipe and convertor in place. a pressure bleeder is very helpful, but it can be bled manually with an assistant to work the pedal. hope this helps................................... .......................

I pop the vacuum line off the brake booster and swing it out of the way. I slide my hand down the back of the motor to the torque tube and reach the bleeder screw. With a flashlight, you can see it from the top just barely. I do it from the top with a helper working the pedal. From the bottom is near impossible for me. Hope this helps.
