Your just shutting down the stock porting or the whole operation? I hope its just the stock ones.
You've done some good work on a lot of FASTs, mine included. Good luck to Spin on his education.
Very nice combo on that LS2. I definately copied and pasted this info away for future use as I also have an LS2 with the A4.

Your intake is literally the last one Comp Cams sold and the last of the good FASTs. One look at the new one will tell you the intake runners are less to work with. A local with one didnt pick up but 12rwhp/16rwtq with it on his GTO which I dont get. It appears to have smooth runners with no shelf. They call it progress. Possible tune issue? I wonder and will have to wait for a few more install data points.
I'm taking my time and it will ship Tuesday morning. I signed the bottom if you dont mind....LASTFAST by spinmonster

A sad day IMHO. I'd have paid extra to have the last SpinMoster FAST.

Thanks Guy.
Take your time! I feel privledged and honored mine will be one of the last intakes that you will do. No problem signing it or noting it was your last one. Actually, spray some laquer on your signature so it won't fade away and it will be there for years to come.
Dang, wish I could have got a ported FAST from ya bud! Good luck with school. Awesome results on the LS2.
What are the changes happening to the intakes? Are they moving manufacturing somewhere else? (Will prices come down?)
Hinson sells them for 839 or so. They fit without my firewall mod. The runners appear to have the same modular construction as the FAST 102 for the LS3 which may be the issue. My guess is they developed a runner for the cathedral heads and used the same case as the LS3 as an afterthought.
If someone wants to ship one to me solely for pictures and measurements, I'll report what I find. I would imagine porting would be a minor thing on these newer versions and would be low in cost by most porters. My initial observations was that its a 100-125 dollar job.
In summary, yes they are cheaper but I dont see them getting the same power since the runners are restricted in size to what fits the LS3 case. Cross sectional diameter vs runner length must be in relation to maintain its predecessor's peak rpm of 6300.
Michael, nice to know someone else from Louisville is posting here. I recently used Automotion to both build my 08 C6 and tune it. Both Bryan the mechanic and Charles their tuner did a great job for me. In my case I used spins 230/234 (comp 3016R/3727R) cam. Brian & Charles did a great job and the HP came out at 498 with TQ at 454. I think they were a little skeptical when I told them the cam specs I was going to use since they did not have any experience with this mild a cam making the HP I was targeting.
Looks like you got another great result for one of Spins combinations
