Default Brake switch

On a 2010 C6, how do you adjust the brake switch that releases the cruise control. My C5 took just a tap to release, I have to press the brake almost an inch to get my C6 to release

Here is the procedure for a 2005. It looks like a trip to the dealer may be required.
Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration

Calibration Criteria

Brake pedal position sensor calibration must be performed after the brake pedal position sensor or body control module (BCM) have been serviced. The calibration procedure will set brake pedal position sensor home value. This value is used by the BCM to determine the action of the driver applying the brake system and to provide this information to the vehicle subsystems via the class 2 communication bus.
Important: Do not apply the brake pedal during the brake pedal position sensor calibration procedure. Any movement of the brake pedal during this procedure will cause the calibration procedure to fail. If this occurs, the brake pedal position sensor (BPPS) calibration must be repeated.

Calibration Procedure
  1. Apply the parking brake.
  2. Place the transmission is in the PARK position.
  3. Install a scan tool.
  4. Clear all BCM DTCs before proceeding.
  5. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  6. Navigate to the Vehicle Control System menu.
  7. Select Computer/Integrating Systems menu item.
  8. Select Module Replacement/Setup menu item.
  9. Select BCM menu item.
  10. Select the BPPS calibration procedure and follow the directions displayed on the screen.

in my 07, to release the cruise control, i pull up on the e-brake by about an 1/8 of inch and the cruise control disengages....alot more convenient.....but yes, as soon as you tap your brake pedal, the cruise should turn off....dealer adjustment required.
