Default Thoughts on a VIS Report

A fellow forum member was kind enough to run a report.

It looked pretty good but the following concerned me:

06/04/2007 047243 # N0110 - BATTERY REPLACEMENT 16494 miles
06/03/2007 M76555 # Z2080 - ROADSIDE SERVICE (TOWING) 16000 miles
06/01/2007 M73406 # Z2083 - ROADSIDE SERVICE (BATTERY/JUMP START) 16000 miles
04/02/2007 042414 # Z2137 14960 miles
04/02/2007 042414 # N0110 - BATTERY REPLACEMENT 14960 miles

Looks like the battery was replaced twice within 2 months. I am thinking that this may indicate some type of an electrical issue? Any thoughts?

Could have been the DBS problem. A lot of these were fixed.

No doubt in my mind. We make the battery for that car and everyone is tested before it leaves our plant.

And the interesting thing is that there was no mention of any other issue being researched or resolved. I would think that the owner would have made an issue out of it, especially since the car was still under warranty. I mean wouldnt you say, "hey fix whatever is causing this"? Here is the entire report:

You didn't say what year C6 it is and it's not in your user profile. The 05s were bad about DBS, and a few of them were caused by the owner not always shutting the manual tranny cars down with the tranny in reverse.

Also, it does take a few miles and a few minutes of driving pretty regularly to keep the battery built up.

If an owner adds some electronics that is putting a drain on the battery because of not shutting off completely, that's another problem.

Its an 05. What is the DBS?

I asked the buyer about the issue and this was his response:

"The battery was replaced because of battery cells issues."

The heck does that mean?
