Does anybody have or know where I can find instructions on how to remove the door panel on my C6? Any help is appreciated.

The information is here as part of talon90's door pull installation.

Taking off the door panels is actually pretty easy.

Why are you removing it? Do you have other issues you need assistance with? I have removed/repaired every item on the inside of both doors....

Default Useful doorpanel info

This is very useful to me since I'll be installing insulation throughout the entire interior. Kudo's to Paul for outstanding instructions and pics.

For those who have removed a door panel before, do the retaining screws have a risk of stripping when you pull the panel off? No one has mentioned this but I am wondering if their is much risk of stripping them either when the panel is being removed or when it's time to push them back in and attach the door panel. My drivers side door pull is sctratched from showroom traffic and I will be replacing it either with an OE handle from Gene or replacing both sides with Gerry's leather handles from DSvettes. Thank you.

Thx Michael,

This information has more detail than others that I've run across on CF.

I have not seen them "strip" but it is easy to break a couple of them. These are not standard "off the shelf" sizes found at Automotive Stores - they have to be special ordered from GM. I suggest you order a few extras BEFORE you remove the door panels - don't ask me how I know.

I have taken mine off a dozen times. No broken pieces yet. It's easy.
