Default Any rotor gurus in the house?

I installed my decelarotors and hawk pads, then put everything back together, checked fluids and went on a test drive. I noticed a bit of what I can call a studdering sound from the back as a came to a complete stop.

When I came back home, I noticed a ring on the outside portion of both the rotors:

I've replaced about 4 sets of rotors now, and have never seen this before. Someone advise.

the pads are not bedded in. do a search in the c6 forums and you will find the procedure. this is not uncommon with all new parts.

Mine did the same. I don't know if you can see it or not.

Looks like it might be just a high spot on the pad, it should wear in without any problems, but if you want to take the pads off and sand them on a piece of sand paper on a flat surface.

Today was a much better day driving, no noises, and the rotor doesn't seem to wear anymore than it did the first day. No extreme heat either. :thumb:
