Default Lifting your vette?

I just purchased a new GHL cat back exhaust and intend to install it myself. I don't have a lift and will have to use jackstands. Does anybody have any pictures of their car on jackstands and / or lift points to jack the car up to get the stands under it?

I've had the car a year now and resisted the temptation to IMPROVE it as long as I can. It's time to get started.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Here is a link that is on the FAQ for C6's. You can search and get more but this should help. Post some info on the exhaust when you are done. Enjoy.

There are two recommended lift spots. They are each end of cradle in the front and rear and then the sides where you have the holes on the body which is where the pucks go if you have them. I lost all my pics or I would post one up. There is a thread on here where somebody posted a bunch of pics of the proper jacking procedure. I recommend trying a search.

I worked on my car this past weekend. I had never tried to jack-up the C6 until then and came to find out that my jack doesn't even fit under the car. I wound up having to purchase some ramps from Autozone. They have plastic Rhino Ramps for about $40. Those did the trick. I will add that the driveway I was working on had a slight angle to it, so it made use of the ramps easier (front spoiler clearance).

Good luck on your install

Lay a 2x4 or better yet a 2x10 in front of each wheel and drive up on them. Then your jack should fit.

I actually have a lift and went to put the vette on it for the first time this weekend only to find out it wouldn't clear the ramps.(drive on 4 post lift) So I had to build some ramp extensions before I could even drive it on the lift.
