Default FAST 102 or 92 ? Mod advice?

I'm looking for the best combination of mods to do on my 05 LS2 A4?

I'm going with the Callaway Honker CAI,coated kooks LT headers and high flow cats with X pipe and npp exhaust.
I'm not sure which way to go on the intake?Going to get a FAST but which one and if I go with the 102 will I gain much from having it ported? Also not sure about the TB,have my stock one ported or buy a big one?If I go ported stock TB who does the best job and will the butterfly size be increased? After all is installed will be getting a Cow or Fastprom mail order tune.

Thanks in advance!

Stoney

For a non H/C application your probably better off with the 92 until more results come in from the 102. It made good power but in both test I have seen they've been on H/C cars not stock intake/exhaust only. I would just port the stock t/b as well you wont gain much from a larger one and if its too big your your application it can be hard to tune.

If you buy the FAST 92, you have to cut the firewall or the manifold to get it to bolt on. According to Hinson Supercars, you don't have to do that with the FAST 102. That alone would make me want the FAST 102.

The 102 does seem to have it's advantages, and the 92 seems to have a track record of being a great performer. If I knew I could get the same results from the 102 that would be an easer and less expensive route!
Any thoughts on this.

You asked exactly the right question. We are all waiting for a tuner to step forward with the dyno runs and results that compare ported FAST 90, 92, against a FAST 102 on an LS-2 and LS-3.

100%

But on the other hand:

That might be reason to go with the 102mm.

I'm leaning toward the 102 for the obvious reasons but just don't want to leave any HP/TQ on the table!
Maybe I will just get the 102,have it ported and call it good!

The FAST 102mm makes a few more HP than the old 92mm. Plus it fits to boot.

True, at least it does on a heads & cammed car...the jury is still out on whether it will do the very same on a mere bolt on car (where only the 90/92 has proven itself thus far) as 'redstv' has.
I'm betting that it will yield at least the same results on an LS2 bolt on car as the 92mm has (in other words, I don't think that the 102mm will make less than the older units do as some fear that it might) but I really can't see it making much more either.
