Default Question: Easy Entry and Exit

So for some reason my car's easy entry/exit feature works and then it doesnt work, and then sometimes only the wheel goes in but the seat stays in the same spot. I just dont get it. I have an A6 and have the feature turned on and the FOB stays in my pocket. Basically I want it to move the seat back and wheel in when I hit the button or open the door and then vise versa when I get in and hit the ignition. What do I have to do to get this fixed?

***UPDATE***
What I've noticed now is that if I tap the button to slide the seat back for just a sec before opening the door or hitting the easy entry/exit button, then the seat and telescope wheel will both work correctly. Otherwise, just the wheel is doing its job, seat staying in place...? Do the tracks need lubricating? Or is this the seat module listed below? Thanks!!

Thanks

For my 06, 6 speed, the trans has to be in reverse and the parking brake on. When I enter the car I touch 1 on the door and it returns to my setting. With the car in reverse and the parking brake on, the settings reverse themselves when I exit the car.

It sound like a bad connection. You could start by checking any harness connectors you can get to. The dealership would likely use a scan tool to test the parameters of the memory recall switches. It might be a bad memory seat module but my guess is a poor connection somewhere.

I drive the car as a daily drive. The option works correctly about 20% of the time. I must be doing something wrong.. How do I get the seat to go all the way in/out upon either entry/exit? The steering wheel goes in/out just about everytime but the seat stays stationary most the time. So lost....
