Default HVAC Control Module Replaced

Folks;
Local dealer replaced this module today on my LeMans Blue 05', MN6,
15,000 mi. A couple of times this winter, noticed the digital display was flashing, & at times unable to turn off, although the last couple of weeks, seemed to be fine. When dropped off at the dealer yesterday for a normal oil service, I casually mentioned the HVAC issue & they indicated it would be checked out. Purchased GMPP coverage from Fitchner ($100 ded) 2 years ago, & for once in my life today, felt that perhaps warrenty coverage on a Corvette was the right move. Sorry to bloviate, but heres' the question-parts (25938052-Control 9.273) & labor-what might this have cost without extended coverage? Just curious guys.
Thanks in Advance-Jerry

MSRP for the controller is over $600 plus they probably charged 2 hours of labor.. So $800 or so. You can buy the part for less than that ($384 from a vendor) and install it in less than an hour. This part doesnt take any special programing or anything.

You mention the term "$100 ded". What does "ded" stand for? I'm considering purchasing an extended warrantee myself for my 06C6 Coup. BTW, I had a similar problem last summer with my HVAC head too. In the extreme heat I was getting the flashing readouts and unable to turn up, down or off the unit. But each time I brought it to the attention of my dealer they couldn't reproduce the problem. Then I ran out of time because I had to put the car in storage for the winter. I live in Toronto. So now I'm back on the road again but my car will be coming off the original warrantee in May so that's why I'm considering the extended warranty. Just a side note: My dealer did say that they would honour the repair even after my warrantee expires because I brought it to their attention quite some tome ago. I hope they're true to their word. Thanks

Deductible. That means you pay the first $100 of the repair bill. So on a $600 repair, YOU pay $100 and GMPP pays $500.
