I am amazed that the tuning software is actually able to disable operating parameters in the PCM. I understand that everyone wants more performance etc. but do it right, do it legally, and keep the cat and O2 systems in place. I am quite sure the guys who designed the original system put a little more engineering into the system, than the guy who altered it. Kevin

I think the smarta$$ posts are in response to your "shock" that people alter their stock tunes, parts, etc and may be in violation of federal emissions laws. I don't disagree that the Dealer should have disclosed that the car had aftermarket modifications to it, but a basic visual inspection by you would have revealed the exhaust modifiations which should have alerted you that there were most likely tune modifications done as well.
Most people on this forum have invested extra $$ to get these performance modifications on their stock cars - and you're wailing about contacting the Attorney General to get these items removed - gotta admit a bit of irony there. Sounds like you should have bought a new stock C6 - or done more homework on the used car you bought.
