Does anyone know accurately what increase of gas mileage there will be if I install Mid America Motorwork's "Dual Cone Intake" Low Restriction Air Flow?
I tried the full flow filters ,mostly K&N you do feel a slight power gain, nothing to brag about but I never saw an increase in fuel miles in anything I tried them in, and I tried them in different models of cars with small and large engines.
The only thing I think you get is the ability to clean it at will, and a slightly different sound to the engine while stomping on it.
I don't think they are worth the money unless you plan to keep the car forever.
When you are going for high gas mileage you are running the engine at low rpms. At those rpms the air velocity through the air cleaner is far below what it is capable of flowing so any increase in filter efficiency will make little difference.
