Power window issue. Advise needed.

Power window issue. Advise needed.
I have a 2006 Z06 and I decided to install a security system. Instead of paying someone, and because of my many years working on vehicles, I decided to do it myself. However, before I realized that I needed to take it to a professional, I hooked up the door trigger wire of the security system to each on the door ajar signal wires in the car. This was fine except that it essentially hooked each door ajar signal wire together. I knew that ahead of time but did not think about the automatic windows. With the wires hooked up, when you opened a door, instead of just that door window rolling down a little to allow for opening of the door, both windows did. After realizing that, I disconnected all of the wiring that I did and put it back the way it was stock. That solved the issue of both windows rolling down but another problem arose. When I open a door, the window rolls down as it is supposed to but when you shut the door it does not roll back up. Does anyone have any insight or advice? It would be greatly appreciated.

Might need to go through the re-indexing procedure. I'm not sure what it is, but you can find it in your manual. I would disconnect the battery, and then re-index the windows and see if that solves your problem.
