C6Z Front Shim affect on camber?
Thanks in advance.
Bob
I don't know what tires you're running, but Hoosier says -3 degrees camber, but -2.5 will work real well. Many tires don't need quite that much.
From the factory, my Z06 had 4 washers under each end of the dogbone up front, and 2 washers under each one in the rear.
Just FYI to others reading the thread, the C6 Z06 has the same "dogbones" holding the upper A-arm to the frame in both the front and the rear - but the regular C6 has a different arrangement in the rear and you have to use the eccentric bolts to adjust rear camber.
I started with a camber up front of about -1.2 degrees, and I took out 3 of the washers and was around -2.4 to -2.5 degrees.
In the rear I started with about -1 degree camber and removed both of the washers that were on there from the factory, and that brought me to about -1.7 to -1.8 degrees in the back.
So....I guess mine were actually about 0.4 degrees or so per washer.
I had to adjust my front toe about 9 flats (1-1/2 turns of the tie rod) up front, and about 4 flats in the rear.
Hope that helps!!
